This striking bracelet, which displays the bold aesthetic of the late 1970s, has been carefully reproduced from an original Ciner piece in the collection of The Costume Institute. Founded by Emanuel Ciner in 1892, Ciner Fashion Company began creating high–end costume jewelry by the 1930s.
Each piece begins with a hand–colored sketch, which is then sculpted by a model maker. Ciner uses only the finest materials, and rich jewel–toned enamels are applied entirely by hand. Vintage Ciner pieces remain highly sought after today by collectors.
Produced by Ciner exclusively for The Met.
