Our beautiful Ram’s Head Finial Bracelet is adapted from a distinctive example of the ancient Greek silversmith’s art. The Museum’s collection includes a finely worked silver bracelet with ram’s head finials, made during the Early Hellenistic period (late fourth century B.C.). During this period jewelry took on elaborate new forms, and incorporated rare and unique stones as they became available through newly established trade routes.
