The catapult is a working re-creation of the fifteenth century catapult designed by Leonardo da Vinci (Italian, 1452–1519). Fully pegged and made of natural/untreated wood, the model is easily assembled from 21 main pieces in about one to two hours by beginners. Once made, it can launch a soft clay ball (clay included) over 15 feet. The kit makes a clever and functional desktop catapult, that is both fun to use, and inspirational to look at.
Ages 12 and older (recommended for ages 12– 16). Includes 21 pieces and clay. Natural/untreated wood. 10'' x 5 1/2'' x 16'' when assembled.
