In the Museum’s Arms and Armor collection is an elegant shield boss—a convex metal element attached to the center a shield—that may have been made in Turkey (16th–17th century). Its border features a delicate, pierced interlace motif, a testament to the skills of the armorer. This handsome shield boss is the basis for our stunning cuff links.
