In celebration of the exhibition Jerusalem 10001400: Every People Under Heaven, The Met Store has selected a range of inspired products that honor the city's complex and fascinating history.

The hamsa (also khamsa) is a palm-shaped symbol seen throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Depicting an open right hand with five outstretched fingers, it is used as an amulet in jewelry and wall hangings. The hamsa represents blessings, power, strength, and protection from the evil eye. This small example bears a bold, openwork vinework motif.
