The Museum’s collection includes a series of glass ornaments (Late Helladic III, ca. 1400–1200 B.C.) that represent the most characteristic motifs among Mycenaean ornaments. The presence of miniscule holes indicates that these ornaments were strung together, and evidence from excavations shows that they were worn as diadems and as necklaces. Our distinctive earrings are derived from these stunning ancient glass originals.
