Art Buddies: Guitar In-Ear Headphones
Description
This set of headphones is based on a guitar in the Museum’s collection made by the renowned luthier Hermann Hauser (German, 1882–1952). It is said that for twelve years Hauser brought instruments to the legendary guitarist Andrés Segovia but that none pleased the virtuoso until he tried this one in 1937. Segovia continued to use it for concerts and recordings until 1962.
Decorative exterior: soft PVC.
