Essay by Mark Wigley
Giving readers a rare glimpse into the The Costume Institute's spring 2017 exhibition, Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art of the In-Between, the Exhibition Album presents 21 images of the gallery space, half without and half with objects installed. It highlights the unprecedented design, which is the result of a collaboration between exhibition curator Andrew Bolton and Rei Kawakubo.
This limited edition concertina-fold portfolio will be available exclusively at The Met Store and Dover Street Market and includes commentary by architectural theorist and critic Mark Wigley who is Professor and Dean Emeritus at the Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation (GSAPP).
