This enchanting slipcase contains a richly illustrated book telling the story of the three wise men and the history and lore behind the three precious offerings they gave to the infant Christ. The story is illustrated with masterpieces of medieval and Renaissance art from the Museum’s collection, including a sixteenth- century German stained-glass window, a tempera painting by Sano di Pietro, a wood engraving by Gustave Doré, and other notable artworks. Also included in this set are three gifts: 24K gold flakes in a glass bottle, and sachets of frankincense and myrrh.
