This exclusive poster celebrates the inaugural exhibition, Unfinished: Thoughts Left Visible at The Met Breuer, on view March 18–September 4, 2016. This groundbreaking exhibition explores the evolving notion of unfinishedness, both intentional and accidental, and argues that it is essential to understanding art movements from the Renaissance to the present day. The poster features a detail from a painting in the exhibition, James Hunter Black Draftee, 1965, by Alice Neel; the artist deliberately left the painting unfinished.
