Description
Our jacket’s floral embroidery pattern is taken from an English printed cotton (ca. 1780) in the Museum’s collection. Copperplate-printed English cottons, manufactured beginning in the 1750s, were often inspired by the flowers found on imported Indian fabrics known as chintzes. These popular textiles were usually purple, red, blue, or sepia on a white ground.Available in small, medium, large, and x-large. Stand-up collar, single-button closure at neck, fitted silhouette, mid-thigh length, 8''L side slits, long sleeves, side-seam pockets. Nylon/polyester blend. Matching lining. Imported. Dry clean.
