Art History

The Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights, celebrates both the victory in 165 B.C. of the small band of Maccabees over the Syrian Greek army. It also celebrates the miracle of the oil that kept the Temple menorah burning for eight days instead of one.
