The Museum’s collection includes silver-gilt cloisonné disc brooches made by Frankish craftsmen during the sixth century, the period of great expansion under King Clovis (r. 481–551) and his sons. Meticulously crafted cloisonné jewelry with garnets, especially brooches, counted among the Franks’ favored adornments. Our hand- enameled Medieval Disc Rosette Necklace, based on the original brooches, is crafted of 24K gold overlay with simulated glass pearls.
24K gold overlay, hand enameled with simulated glass pearls. Chain with stationed discs. 36''L. Lobster claw closure.
