In the Museum’s collection is a delicate necklace (Middle Kingdom, Dynasty 12, ca. 1887–1813 B.C.) of gold, carnelian, lapis lazuli, green feldspar, and amethyst teardrop-shaped beads. It once belonged to Princess Sithathoryunet, who lived during the reigns of Senwosret II and Amenemhat III. This ancient necklace is the basis for our beautiful necklace.
