Description

Bag enthusiasts will enjoy our unique notecards featuring four different bags in the Museum's Costume Institute. Each of the four designs on our notecards is decorated with rhinestones, glitter, suede, or embroidery to evoke the spirit of the original wearable work of art. Included is an adaptation of a 1930s evening bag made of metallic thread, silk, and sequins; a purse made about 1911 of silk and metal; a 1934 French pouch crafted of leather, silk, and rhinestones; and a twentieth-century red purse made of silk, metal, and beads.
