In the Museum’s collection is a sumptuously illustrated album leaf (sixteenth–seventeenth century) by Khem Karan (Indian, 1556–1605) in ink, opaque watercolor, and gold on paper. It displays an image of a regally dressed prince riding an elephant, which has been adapted for our cards. Our cards are based on this striking image of a richly dressed prince riding an elephant outfitted with decorative trappings.
25 gold-embossed white correspondence cards and 25 white envelopes per box. 6 1/4'' x 4 7/8''.
