Beautiful from beak to tail

You don't have to be a bird lover to be enchanted by this fellow! I love him, and I love how he really looks like a bird (particularly the positioning of the legs and the long tail). He perches on top of the fireplace mantle, looking out for insects (which I hope he never finds).
looking for seeds on the ground

My house got to 82 degrees (no power, so no A/C). I didn't notice right away that my bird was now looking at the ground because the legs had softened and could not support the weight of the body. Luckily, it was still quite warm so I was able to slowly move the bird body until it looked more or less like it was supposed to. Then I put it in the refrigerator until I got power back and my house cooled down. Poor bird!

The sale prompted me to finally get this wonderful sculpture and I am not disappointed by the quality and grace of it. A wonderful purchase! I am officially giving it to my husband but I know that I'll enjoy it as much as he does.
