In his Magnolias and Irises
window (ca. 1908), Loius Comfort Tiffany (American, 1848–1933) employed a well-known motif, the River of Life, with delicately rendered irises and magnolia blossoms framing a winding river in distant hills. The Museum’s top depicts a detail from the original window.
