Bouquet of Sunflowers (1881), in the Museum’s collection, was exhibited at the Seventh Impressionist Exhibition in 1882 and hailed for its "brio and daring". The flowers in this lush bouquet were grown near the steps to his garden at Vétheuil. A detail from his exhuberant work adorns our top.
