The Museum’s collection includes three gold crescent nose rings (1st century BCE–2nd century CE) from Peru’s northern coast, possibly Salinar. They are particularly appealing in their delicacy and exquisite craftsmanship. The eye-catching openwork fret pattern of one of these ancient rings is the basis for our spirited top’s graphic collar.
