Description

For our captivating tunic, we have adapted the lovely blue-and-white blossoms (plum blossoms symbolize springs arrival) and intricate scroll motifs from two Qing (1644 1911) covered jars in the Museums collection, both of which were made during the reign of the emperor Kangxi (r. 16621722). During his reign and that of his two Qing successors, Chinese porcelain production reached its peak of excellence in terms of ceramic quality and the skillful firing of glazes to achieve subtle and attractive effects.

Cotton/spandex. V neckline, split hem, and three-quarter sleeves. Imported. Machine washable.
