Vanity Sounds the Horn Slim Fit Top

Description
A luxurious wool and silk tapestry in the Museum’s collection is from the series “The Hunt of the Frail Stag” (South Netherlandish, ca. 1500–1525). It presents Vanity as a courtly lady with a horn, among animals and foliage. A French inscription in a red banderole explains that Vanity is sounding the horn because Dame Ignorance has unleashed the dogs of Desire, Rashness, and Overconfidence to chase the frail stag, which represents man. This splendid allegory of life on earth as a stag hunt is the source for our unique top.
Available in small, medium, large, and x-large. Polyester blend. Slim fit. Cap sleeves. Made in the USA. Machine washable.
