The design of our tote features an adaptation of Rudolph de Harak's (American, 1924 –2002) award-winning logo for the Museum's shopping bag, created in 1978. More than one million bags are printed every year, making de Harak's striking work of graphic art an American icon, and one of the most visible symbols of the Metropolitan Museum.
