Rated 4 out of 5 by from A wonderful introduction to artists. Since each artist gets a double page of text combined with pictures, the information does not overwhelm a young child. In a friendly manner a variety of artists is talked about each with his or her own country of origin. Examples of their work illustrate the text. I bought the book for a little girl's birthday so that she can come to a museum and maybe recognize someone she read about in her art book. And yes, I do plan to buy her different books of the same series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Conversation Starter I bought this for my 6th grade classroom library and it has been a real hit. My students take a survey type art class at school and so the more they see art outside of art class, the better (even in my science class we incorporate it). It is constantly in use by a kid or kids, which is a great review of the book.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Somewhat disappointed The page layouts are a bit crowded and unattractive... the artworks are presented in a somewhat cluttered way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Starter to create interest. Turns on the creative juices of the young artist. Highway to artistic growth.
