Our seven miniature collectible shoe ornaments express the elegance and flair of actual shoes in the collection of The Costume Institute at The Met.
The set includes Pink and Black Polka Dot (French, 1980–82), designed by Maud Frizon (French, born 1942); Blue and Cream Spectator (Italian, 1975), designed by Rosina Ferragamo Schiavone (Italian); Red Stilleto Pump (Italian, 1956) designed by Dal Co' (Italian); Cat Face (French, late 1980s) designed by Tokio Kumagaï (Japanese, 1948–1987); Mod Slingback with Flower (French, 1965) designed by Charles Jourdan (French, 1883–1976); and Platform Sandal (Italian, 1938) designed by Salvatore Ferragamo (Italian, 1898–1960).
