Our modern necklace in 14K vermeil was inspired by a stunning necklace in The Met collection. A copper-alloy adornment, this beautiful necklace (possibly 14th century) was created in the ancient center of Jenne, in West Africa. The bells on the original necklace are of the type believed capable of being heard by spirits, ringing in both worlds, that of the ancestors and that of the living.
