These two pairs of sterling silver stud earrings evoke an elegant 20th-century locket resembling a half-leather-bound book. Decorating the cover is a stylized sprig of what are probably forget-me-nots, enhanced with pops of blue and green enamel, which we've adapted on our vision of the original design. The Museum's locket is one of several housed in the collection of The Met's Thomas J. Watson Library, one of the most comprehensive art libraries in the world.
