- 1. Met Store Gift Cards can only be redeemed for the purchase of merchandise and Museum Memberships at Met Store locations (1000 Fifth Avenue and The Met Cloisters).
- 2. Met Store Gift Cards cannot be used for purchases made online at The Met Store (store.metmuseum.org) or Met Custom Prints (customprints.metmuseum.org).
- 3. Met Store Gift Cards cannot be returned or canceled after purchase.
- 4. The following forms of payment can be used to purchase Met Store Gifts Cards: Mastercard, Visa, American Express, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
- 5. Met Store Gift Cards expire nine years from the date of issue, where permissible under applicable law. Once the Gift Card has expired, The Met Store is unable to extend the expiration date and is obligated to remit the value of unredeemed Gift Cards to New York State.

- 7. Your balance can be viewed at any time online by visiting store.metmuseum.org/gift-cards.
- 8. If the remaining balance of a Met Store Gift Card is under $5, it may be redeemed for cash at any Met Store location.
- 9. If a purchase exceeds the amount of your Met Store Gift Card, you must pay the balance using another form of payment accepted by The Met Store.
- 10. If you return an item purchased using a Met Store Gift Card in-store, you will receive Store Credit for the amount returned.
- 11. The Met Store reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or hold Met Store Gift Cards or orders for suspected fraud, or for other violations of Met Store policies.
