This is a really great book. I'm glad I bought it for my husband for Christmas. The vast collection of artworks from all around the globe are presented chronologically, creating an appreciation for artworks contemporary to each other but from different parts of the globe. Interesting introduction; well-designed pages; gorgeous reproductions of the paintings, sculpture, and small objects.

I bought this book last week for my mother-in-law for her birthday. The book is beyond words, really. The colors in the pictures are so vibrant it makes them almost look 3 dimensional. The book is also very heavy so you can tell the quality is really nice.
