Description

Tulips were a popular floral motif at Tiffany Studios (1902–32), as seen in the rich colorations of the Tulip Lamp, the inspiration for our whimsical hand-painted ornament. This elegant lamp, made in New York about 1907–12, is crafted of leaded Favrile glass and patinated bronze with a reticulated blown-glass base. It is among the many masterworks in The Met collection attributed to Louis C. Tiffany (American, 1848–1933).
