Description

The special edition National Park Foundation Travel Scope 60 is a refractor telescope perfect for terrestrial and celestial viewing on the go. It can view the planets, moon, star clusters and brighter deep-sky objects at night—and can also be used as a spotting scope during the day.

Setting up the telescope is a breeze. The adjustable tripod legs let you customize its height or place it on a raised surface like a picnic table. Navigate the sky with the pan handle Alt-Az control with clutch for smooth and accurate pointing. Move the clutch up/down, left/right to track your object in the eyepiece.

The Travel Scope 60 comes with two eyepieces (20 mm and 8 mm), a 45° erect image diagonal, a 3x Barlow lens, a 5 x 20 finderscope, a moon-viewing filter to reduce glare, a compass, and a travel backpack. The two eyepieces offer different magnifications. The erect image diagonal allows for right-side-up viewing ideal for terrestrial subjects but can also be used for celestial objects. The 5 x 20 finderscope will help you quickly center an object for easier observing. Connect the 3x Barlow lens to your eyepieces to boost your magnification by a factor of three. Paired with the included eyepieces, the Barlow delivers 54x and 135x magnification for up-close views.

Download Celestron's Starry Night Software and learn about the night sky, celestial objects, and how to plan your next observing session. Celestron Starry Night Software is the premier astronomy software package on the market, providing resources and knowledge to view our solar system and beyond.
