These luminous earrings reenvision an early 20th-century table lamp conceived by Louis Comfort Tiffany (American, 1848–1933) for Tiffany Studios (American, 1902–32). From opalescent pinks to translucent rippled blues, the lampshade's variety of colors and textures—which illustrate a cascade of dazzling water-lily blossoms—make this piece one of the designer's most successful executions for the firm. The organic shapes characterizing our adornments pay homage to the nature of the original treasure, now in The Met's American Wing.
