An art scarf makes a unique gift for her.

This stylish scarf honors Jackson Pollock's (American, 1912–1956) monumental "drip" painting Number 28, 1950 (1950) in The Met's Modern and Contemporary Art collection. Pollock's move to a larger space in the town of Springs on Long Island allowed him to expand his practice by painting on and around unstretched canvases on the floor—a process which he likened to Native American sand painting. The artist appears to have begun this composition by dripping and spilling black- and ocher-colored medium onto the canvas, which was subsequently layered with paint applied in acrobatic swirls and dribbles.

We're pleased to present this scarf in celebration of Krasner and Pollock: Past Continuous, the first major exhibition charting the full arc of the careers of Lee Krasner (American, 1908–1984) and Jackson Pollock in parallel, examining the distinct yet connected practices of these artistic peers and life partners.
