The Met's Astor Chinese Garden Court, designed in the 17th-century style, was created and assembled by expert craftsmen from China using traditional methods, materials, and hand tools. Bamboo Forest pays tribute to the order and harmony of the Astor Court. Fresh notes of bamboo blend with rhododendron and plum blossom. Cooling eucalyptus quiets the senses as Akigalawood and patchouli ground in this calming scent.
The woody fragrance of Spiced Woods draws inspiration from a serene mountain retreat, highlighting the juxtaposition of a man-made structure nestled in an organic location. Notes of Akigalawood and patchouli oil blend with resinous balsam oil and nan wood accord, creating a warming, spiced scent.
