Roped Pearl Cuff Bracelet
Art jewelry inspired by The Met.
The golden twists on this cuff bracelet reimagine the rope motif carved into a whimsical 19th-century stool in The Met's European Sculpture and Decorative Arts collection. The Museum's piece was made in the style of the tapissier A. M. E. Fournier (French, active after 1850), whose design also informed a similar set of stools at the grand Château de Compiègne in France. The lustrous freshwater pearl accents on our adornments nod to the stool's silvery damask cushion.
