This unique scarf features a detail from a studiolo (study) installed in The Met, one of the most important Italian Renaissance works of art in the United States. It was commissioned around 1476 by Federico da Montefeltro, Duke of Urbino, for his residence in Gubbio. The study's walls are a brilliant tour de force of inlaid-wood intarsia, reflecting the owner's wide-ranging artistic and scientific interests.
