John Derian Snow Drop Rectangular Tray
Our oblong tray features a detail from Snow Drop (1862–69), an American lithograph published by Louis Prang & Co. in Boston, Massachusetts. The image is part of a series of cards bearing nature studies entitled Plant with Root, which includes the portrayal of various flora and their root systems.
Adapted from the Museum’s Department of Drawings and Prints, this art-inspired design was made exclusively for The Met by John Derian. Based in New York City, Derian's workshop is celebrated for his unique decoupage creations featuring hand-blown glass.
