This patriotic silk neckerchief features a detail from a 19th-century paper cut-out toy in The Met collection. Made by the French printing house Pellerin & Cie, the hand-colored lithograph invited users to construct a miniature version of the Statue of Liberty from paper, complete with her pedestal and base. Our neckerchief was created to celebrate Revolution!, a special installation marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the founding document of the United States of America.
