These are not as described. Backing is not cork but rather a velvet type of material. Cheaply made and poor quality.

I was surprised at the poor quality. Coasters are intended to protect another surface from moisture so I was surprised that the image began to delaminate around the edges after a very short time. I used these for coffee mugs and for standard drinks - they were not exposed to excessive moisture. The coasters are about 1/8" thick with a velvet-like bottom and an extremely thin printed image on the top.
