Unicorn Tapestries Softcover Layflat Journal
Gifts for art lovers.
The seven medieval hangings known collectively as the Unicorn Tapestries have delighted visitors to The Met Cloisters for some 80 years. Exquisitely woven with wool and gilded threads, the original hangings are among the most remarkable extant artworks of the late Middle Ages. Featured on the cover and throughout our softcover journal, which includes lined pages and a specially structured binding designed to lie flat on a writing surface, are details from six of the tapestries, including The Unicorn Rests in a Garden (1495–1505), a highlight of The Met collection.
