Serve tea with a touch of art when you use our decorative porcelain teapot. The 40-ounce capacity holds enough for a tea party and its appealing brushstroke design makes it a welcome hostess or shower gift.
Vincent van Gogh (Dutch, 1853–1890) pursued various vocations before deciding to become an artist at the age of 27. Over the course of his decade-long career he produced nearly 900 paintings and more than 1,100 works on paper. Irises, the lush bouquet reproduced in detail on our teapot, is one of four still lifes that Van Gogh completed in 1890, prior to his departure from the asylum in Saint-Rémy.

The teapot is just beautiful and was wonderfully priced in the 50% off sale. I bought the teapot and placemats for myself in memory of my twin who died 4/2/2019.
I loved the tea pot on sight. Looks great but on using it I found it won't handle any of my tea strainers. Have to use to use tea bags. The Inside stains with tea use and hard to get hand inside to clean it. . Also, the matching cups also stain and won't come clean in the dishwasher.Otherwise, beautiful and elegant.
I ordered this teapot along with the matching mugs. Be aware that when you unpack it, you will see some darker markings on the upper side and part of the top of the teapot. I initially thought it was dust, but if you look closely at the picture, you can see the grayish/darker color above the image of the irisis themselves. It's a part of the piece, and once I figured that out, I love it. It's that time of year to curl up with a good book and a pot of tea!
