Van Gogh Sunflowers Lacquer Tray
A decorative serving tray featuring a Met favorite
Our lacquer tray celebrates the Museum's Sunflowers (1887), one of four still lifes Van Gogh painted featuring these eye-catching yellow blooms in Paris during the late summer of 1887. Paul Gauguin once owned two of his smaller sunflower studies, which he displayed above his bed before selling them in the mid-1890s to finance his trip to the South Seas.
