Vinciolo Partridge in a Pear Tree Pop-Up Holiday Cards
Our pop-up holiday cards reinterpret a striking design from Les Secondes Oeuvres (1603), a book of woodcuts published by Jean Le Clerc (French) and dedicated to Catherine de Bourbon (French, 1558–1604). The image, made by Federico de Vinciolo (Italian, active Paris, ca. 1587–99), is printed on a grid and shows a bird perched on a pear tree with a small plant and lizard by the roots.
