The necklace pays homage to a watercolor and gouache design for The Met's Four Seasons stained-glass window (ca. 1897–99), a collaboration between Agnes F. Northrop (American, 1857–1953) and her mentor, Louis C. Tiffany (American, 1848–1933). A designer of Tiffany Studios windows for over two decades, Northrop had a special skill for depicting vibrant, naturalistic flowers. Our necklace evokes the way this flower hangs gracefully off its vine.
