Paul Klee Notecards
Known for linear, childlike imagery, abstracted forms and symbols, and an enthusiasm for the relationships of colors, Paul Klee pursued a wide range of subjects during his long career. He was influenced by the Cubism of Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, as well as his involvement with the German Expressionist group Der Blaue Reiter (The Blue Rider) and lifelong friendship with fellow artist Wassily Kandinsky. It was during a trip to Tunisia in 1914 that Klee's interest in color began. This collection of notecards showcases some of the artist's most vibrant works from The Met collection.
