Our Venus Pearl Collection is adapted from adornments worn by the Roman goddess of love in Venus in Front of a Mirror, a famous painting by Peter Paul Rubens (Flemish, 1577–1640). In the painting, Venus wears nothing but a bracelet and a pair of pearl teardrop earrings—one of the earrings is white, and the other, reflected in a mirror, appears black.

Quickly became a favorite. Always a conversation starter. I love that they were inspired by the painting. I only wish the pearls were real. I bought two pair, so I can also wear two black or two white. Love, love, love them. The weight doesn't bother me at all.
I ordered a $75 pair of earrings on 26 December, even though I thought the minimum international (US to France) postage to be charged of $54.95 was outrageous, since I wanted them for my wife on our 60th wedding anniversary which was just two weeks later. To my deep disappointment, they arrived only on 22 February, nearly two months in transit - THEY HAD NOT EVEN BEEN SENT BY AIRMAIL !!
I was eyeing these for quite a while and when they went on sale I scooped them up! They look great and go with everything. The only thing that would make them a little better is if the pearl drop was free- hanging and not fixed. But I like them and wear them frequently.
I just purchased these earrings and was disappointed. They are much bigger and heavier than they appear in the photo. They look gaudy. I was looking forward to these earrings but can’t get past the weight of them.
Having owned and loved the original gold version of these earrings for many years, I was delighted to see the new silver offering. These are a bit smaller and lighter-weight than the originals but equally attractive, and I love wearing them! I often pair them with the matching silver cuff, which is also light and easy to wear.
