We offer flat-rate shipping for each order within the US and Canada, with additional fees for deliveries to other countries. Items shipped to any given address may be shipped in separate parcels on separate days, but you will only be charged once per address. The shipping information below does not apply to Met Custom Prints orders.
A flat rate of $7.95 applies for all orders within the US (including Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, and APO/FPO addresses), and a flat rate of $34.95 applies for all orders to Canada. Shipping surcharges apply to certain oversized items. Shipping costs may also be influenced by the size and weight of the product and your location. You will be contacted by Customer Service if your shipment exceeds our flat rate. Extra charges will be incurred for overweight or multiple carton shipments. Delivery times are as follows:
- Contiguous 48 states: 3–6 business days
- Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, APO/FPO: 5–10 business days
- Canada: 5–10 business days
Expedited and overnight delivery options are available. In addition to the Standard flat rate, the following charges apply:

Orders must be placed by 1 pm ET (excluding weekends and holidays) to be considered as placed on a given business day. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be handled as if placed the following business day. Shipping surcharges apply to certain oversized items. Extra charges will be incurred for overweight or multiple carton shipments.
A flat rate of $54.95 applies to all orders outside the US and Canada. For delivery outside the US and Canada, allow up to 15 business days (varies by location). Shipping surcharges apply to certain oversized items. Shipping costs may also be influenced by the size and weight of the product and your location. You will be contacted by Customer Service if your shipment exceeds our flat rate. Extra charges will be incurred for overweight or multiple carton shipment. Please be aware that recipients are responsible for any applicable duties, taxes, or brokerage fees. Not all products are eligible for shipping outside of the United States.
All domestic orders are tracked. Your shipment confirmation email will include the shipping date, the carrier, and the tracking number. You can also track your order by visiting My Account. Contact Customer Service for assistance in tracking international orders.
A $15 per item surcharge will apply to oversized items, which are noted online and in our catalog. This surcharge applies to addresses within the US and Canada; deliveries to other destinations may incur additional fees. Contact Customer Service for more information.
The purchase of more than 20 units of any one product is subject to approval and may result in additional shipping charges.
We will promptly inform you in the rare case of a shipping delay that exceeds 30 days.
Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love your Met Store purchase. If for any reason an item does not meet your expectations, you may return a qualifying purchase for an exchange or refund, in the manner in which it was paid, within the following time frames:
- Purchases made prior to June 30, 2020, can be returned within in 180 days.
- Purchases made on or after July 1, 2020, can be returned within 90 days.
We can only refund or exchange merchandise that is in saleable condition; shipping and handling charges cannot be refunded. Memberships, donations, eGift Certificates, and Gift Cards are also nonrefundable. All Clearance merchandise is final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Online customers should receive a confirmation email once we’ve issued a refund. Please allow one billing cycle from the time we receive the returned item for the refund to appear on your credit card statement.
*Applies to online and catalog purchases only. For retail store purchases with a receipt, you may return or exchange merchandise in saleable condition within 90 days from the date of purchase. Without a receipt, a store credit will be issued for the item’s lowest selling price.
Gift recipients will receive a refund check by mail for the price paid by the purchaser, provided we can identify the original order. If you cannot include the purchaser’s packing slip, we will issue you a refund for the item’s lowest selling price.
If the merchandise is damaged or defective at the time of delivery or the incorrect item was sent, please contact Customer Service for a swift resolution.
