This is a great gift for a mother who has everything. The necklace is unique and well crafted! My mom has lots of jewelry and was taken aback by the design of this necklace and the pearls. Would highly recommend as a gift for a mother or any other loved one!
Absolutely beautiful! I have many pearl items. Freshwater, Tahitian, South Sea and akoya, I have them all. I was hesitant at first, but I am glad that I made this purchase. What makes this necklace stand out is its setting. The pearls are not perfect of course, which is expected at this price level. The pearls are not round and have flaws, but they have good luster. Though the metal part is only 9K gold plated, it sparkles and goes well with the pearls. This will make a perfect gift for someone who likes pearls.
My pearl necklaces never appealed to my daughter but I took a chance on this one because the addition of the tiny gold bars gave it a more contemporary flair. The way it was packaged in the Met Box plus a little insert about the history of the pearl necklace in Dutch portraiture just sealed the deal!
