Bought the Tobbles Neo for my 1 year old twin nieces. They really like it - more to carry around and chew on right now - hopefully they will enjoy the stackability soon. Very well made - happy with my purchase.
I've purchased this gift many times and it was a great hit each time. And the fact that it comes from the MET is even more impressive and proof of its quality and popularity.
The design of each piece is weighted in a way that the parts can be stacked in a very crooked stack and remain upright. It seems to defy gravity. My grand is only 6 months, so she mostly just likes to grab the parts and chew on them at this pint. But it will be a toy that she will continue to play with as she grows.
You can stack them, you can clack them together, or you can just chew on them. Great for teething children to distract them and give them something to harmlessly knock over.
I bought this for my brand new grandson. He is the child of an artist and both of his grandparents on mom's side are artists as is his great grandmother! Playing with shapes and colors is a part of brain development and this toy is perfect!
I bought the Tobbles Neo for my eight-month-old nephew, thinking it would also engage the interest of his two-and-a-half-year-old sister. While both of the kids do seem to enjoy the toy, my 43-year-old brother is also obsessed with them. I think this toy will end up staying in their house for a long time!
I bought these for our 5 mo. old grandson for Christmas. His eyes lit up when he saw them. We sat him on the floor with them and he had a lot of fun with them
in his own way. At first he didn't know quite what to do with them, but with a little bit of help, he figured it out a bit and loved it.... he even giggled! His reaction made the adults giggle too!
