December Wreath Spinning Ornament
Metropolitan Museum of Art Christmas ornaments.
This festive rotating ornament is inspired by a calendar page from December 1927 in The Met's Drawings and Prints collection. The original work by Rudolph Ruzicka (American, b. Czechoslovakia, 1883–1978), published in 1927 by The Marchbanks Press in New York, features an adorable design of toys such as a teddy bear and a doll assembled in a wreath-like formation.
